History
In the second generation (1935) Erwin Mann continually expanded the family business. During the war and in the first years thereafter Maria Mann took over the difficult task of leading the company. Corporate growth in the years after 1948 could only the compensated with repeated restructuring and new purchase. After taking over the management of the company from his father Horst Mann merged it in 1969 into the Luckfiel & Mann OHG. In 1972 the firm moved into its new headquarters on the Schwedendamm and was able to considerably enhance its performce for its customer on account of a larger warehouse a greater sales spaces. Due to the positive business development as wall as to altered market structures Luckfiel & Mann GmbH was founded in 1985. The business is still striving to the present day.
In 1992 the newly constructed headquarters in Kiel-Wellsee were occupied. Finally Luckfiel & Mann´s claim to a modern warehouse, refrigeration an sales spaces was fulfilled on 5.000 square meters. In this way the concept of an up-to-date wholesaler for the food industry based on ones own ideals could be realized. Included in this vision was the permanent showroom display of the newest products surrounding the meat processing and comestible goods businesses. Here customers are able to get a picture of the rich product variety accompanied by competent expert advice.
The acquisition of “Gustav Löbert & Son” complements the L+M spectrum in a sensible manner. Since 1996 our second branch in Berlin has become your competent partner in all aspects, just as you are accustomed from L+M. The third branch since 2008 is “Athmer & Liedt” in Coesfeld.
Since 1998 we have expanded our success beyond Germany´s boarders, Our main international markets are Denmark and Sweden, but we are also active in South Africa and Australia.
